TOTP on BBC Four

Hallelujah, BBC Four will, from tomorrow show old editions of Top Of The Pops in their entirety.
No stupid captions no stupid comments like TOTP2
Other people have suggested this to BBC 4 as well as myself:
Why don't you show TOTP from the earliest show, then run through the entire series?

BBC Four would be great if it was used for more archive showings, especially Top of the Pops, as in TOTP Red Nose Day on BBC Four. With over 1,100 listings in the BBC archive for TOTP why not re-show the full editions you have just like UK Gold did in the 1990s?

So what can we expect?
Top of the Pops: 1968
Monday 07 January
9:00pm - 9:30pm
BBC4
Classic edition of Top of the Pops from 1968, presented by Jimmy Savile and Dave Cash. Artists featured include The Foundations, The Alan Price Set, Brenton Wood, Hermans Hermits, Status Quo, The Move and Amen Corner.
But haven't we seen these on Sounds of the 60's I hear you say? YES but wait a minute this is the full edition in it's original format.
Top of the Pops: Xmas 1967
Wednesday 16 January
7:40pm - 8:30pm
BBC4
Alan Freeman, Pete Murray and Jimmy Savile present the big hits of 1967, featuring The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Long John Baldry, Lulu, Procol Harum, Cliff Richard, Engelbert Humperdinck and others.
YES I know this was screened by Channel Four in the 90's
Top of the Pops: Xmas 1978
Thursday 17 January
7:30pm - 8:30pm
BBC4
Noel Edmonds presents a special Top of the Pops from 1978, with Darts, Abba, Boney M, Brotherhood of Man, Father Abraham, Bee Gees, Braian and Michael, Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, Wings, Showaddywaddy, Rose Royce, Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, and Legs and Co.
NO this was never screened on the UK Gold re-runs partly due to Noel not giving permission to use ANY of his Top Of The Pops editions.
Well done to BBC Four, nice to know we are being listend to at long last, why not show ALL of them that survive.

The 1968 edition was terrific. More please. Wish i'd taped it now.
Know any good comps representing the 68 charts?
'Juke Box Jury' from 62 was surprisingly good too (and didn't the audience look amazingly smartly turned-out compared to the anything-goes degeneracy of today?)
