NO XMAS TOP OF THE POPS

For the first time since 1964 there will be NO Xmas special of TOTP this year, not that I'm bothered it died a death in the early 80's for me. And to cap the announcement it's Snowing across the UK too, It's not gonna be Xmas without TOTP, a bit like it can't be xmas without a bit of Slade.





Instead the BBC in their wisdom choose to dust off TOTP2 for the first time in 12 months which will feature, funnily enough some of the years no 1's on video, along with the same Xmas archive footage that has been seen a million times before.

Surely this smacks as double standards by the BBC who blamed the programmes demise on the 24 hr music channels showing the same regurgitated videos hr after hr.

Just goes to show how much contempt the BBC have for music fans AND TV Licence payers of this country.
